No Fee Apartments Nyc

On of the hardest things about renting an apartment is often simply finding an apartment to rent in the first place. This is especially true in New York City: with five boroughs, millions of people, and hundreds of thousands of potential living spaces, there’s a good deal of searching to be done before you even write the check for that security deposit. Open the newspaper to the “apartments for rent” section and you’re sure to be overwhelmed: you’ll be met with literally page after page of listings in miniscule print.
For this reason, New York City is teeming with apartment rental services. These companies, some big and some small, will listen to your budget restrictions and what you want in your next apartment (three bedrooms, space for a piano, or access to a backyard) and hunt through the listings for you. Often, representatives from these services will even drive you on showings from one apartment to another (no small feat in a city the size and breadth of NYC) so you can take a look at the offerings.
While some of these companies are also property management companies (meaning the person showing you those apartments is also the person who’ll be cashing your check every month), the majority of them are simply apartment-finding services – and expect to be paid a fee for their services. Generally, you’ll read that the service is free (“Great!” you think) – but then you’ll be slapped with a fee to actually rent the apartment. Why? When you do business with these companies, you’re not necessarily doing business directly with the property manager or landlord – the company is serving as an intermediary.
Hong Kong Apartments – a Practical Guide for Expats
01.05
The island’s north side is the first place that comes to mind when looking for apartments in Hong Kong. It is certainly the most well known area with its famous skyline of buildings bearing the names of the world’s largest companies. Still today, between these architectural gems and business power centers, run old trams and until recently, even rickshaw drivers… throwbacks to a bygone era.
If your company has itself a sought after address on the north side of the Island, then the first place to look for an apartment in Hong Kong is among the many buildings on offer here.
If you’re traveling solo, or as a couple without kids, then a rental apartment in the area bounded by Sheung Wan, Causeway Bay and the Mid-Levels is a great place as you’ll have maximum convenience with public transport, work and nightlife all within easy reach.
To keep the budget under tighter control you could look at rental apartments further out from Central, to the west around Kennedy Town or east towards Chai Wan. Renting a Kennedy Town apartment will keep you within a short taxi or bus ride of Central, whereas a Chai Wan apartment is convenient to the eastern most stop on the MTR line. Both are still convenient, just with less Expatriates around- keep in mind that not all Hong Kong grocery stores are created equal.

7 Ways to Evaluate Apartments Over the Phone
12.06
You’ve looked up the information on thousands of apartments in catalogs and online. You’ve located the pictures, floor plans, maps, amenities, and details of the places you’re interested in. You’ve compiled the data for 10 communities to finally narrow the field and now comes…The phone call.
The dreaded phone call to find out about specific rental rates and to address all of those “call for specials” that you’ve gathered.
The key to success is in the phone call. The amateur apartment shopper begins the call cold, unprepared, fidgety, and nervous. “Do you have a one bedroom?” or “How much is your two-bedroom?” Apartment Home Living is here to help you be successful at finding the right apartment home by knowing what to ask.
Question 1: What size and when?
Begin the questioning any way you like, but your most important question is do they have the apartment you’re interested in available at your target move-in date.
It’s a common misconception that apartments are simply sitting empty, waiting on you to show up to lease them. This is frequently untrue. To work out for you, the community must have the apartment you want in the timeframe you need to move. If it isn’t available, unless you have some move-in date flexibility, you should go on to your next call.
Question 2: Do they take Fluffy?
